André Lacroix in 1962 after separation from
Jean Lacroix. The pipe tradition in the family reaches back to the 19th century.
Gérard Lacroix (son of André and retired in 2009) sold the brand to
Gaël Coulon in 2009. Gaël formerly was a pipe carver at
Chacom.

"Ajustomatic" designates a screw-in stem which is similar to Kaywoodie's SynchroStem. Unlike this brand Ajustomatic's screw-in fitment isn't fixed tightly and permanently into the stem allowing thus an alignment correction with the shank.
"Ajustomatic" designe un tuyau qui se visse à l'instar des Kaywoodies SynchroStem. Contrairement à cette marque le dispositif Ajustomatic n'est pas entièrement solidaire du tuyau et permet de rectifier son alignement avec la tige.
