The brand has been created at Bruxelles in 1864 by Jean Batiste Vinche and runed after him by his son Victor. Marcel and René Vinche managed the corporate from 1927 on.
The brand is famous for its meerschaum pipes but briar pipes were also produced after 1938. Today (2009) the firm is managed by Jacques Vinche in collaboration with Jeff and Mia Koopmans who joined in 1977.
Marque crée en 1864 à Bruxelles par Jean Batiste Vinche et reprise par son fils Victor. Marcel et René Vinche dirigèrent l'entreprise à partir de 1927.
La marque est connue pour ses pipes en écume mais elle a produit des pipes en bruyère à partir de 1938. Aujourd'hui (2009) la firme est dirigée par Jacques Vinche en collaboration avec Jeff et Mia Koopmans qui l'avaient rejoint dés 1977.

Brand of the
Penn Tobacco Company formed in Wilkes-Barre Pennsylvania in 1901 by Russell Uhl († 1914) and Henry Weigand († 1942). Bruce Peters was a Treasurer of the company.
There were four pipes in the line offered by the company: the
Bruce Peters (top of the line), the Silver Mac Duff, the
Vox Pop, and the
Broadcaster. The pipes were manufactured for Penn by
Henry Leonard & Thomas, manufacturers of
Dr. Grabow pre-smoked pipes.
These pipes could only be purchased as promotional items using coupons from the company's tobaccos.
