TYROLEAN SHELL

 Indeterminate date

DUNHILL LONDON
MADE IN ENGLAND

suffix 9 ?

This model seems to be very rare. Only  two other pieces (a 1936 smooth finish and a 1929 Shell) with exactly the same shape and belonging to the John Loring (†2009) collection are known to exist.

The year suffix is not legible as displayed in the first enlarged view of this pipe. Its value is supposed to be "9". Due to the lack of patent # and "Dunhill Shell" stampings it is not possible to date the pipe certainly.
