Samuel Weingott started making pipes in 1859. The family sold the business in the 1930s. The shop was located at 3 Fleet Street, London (see map below).

To day (2010) the shop is owned by a wines & spirits retailer. On the right side of the shop he kept the original Weingott tobacco shop sign. The blackboard on the left side is still in used but refers to some carbonated soft drinks... which obviously weren't "Special offers from S.Weingott" (see top of the board)
