This metal stem pipe with plug in bowl was marketed by the Ornsby Pipe Company Ltd, Pennywell, Sunderland, Tyne & Wear, England.

According to Wilczak & Colwell, op. cit., Osma could be a brand of the French La Bruyère company (see dok). Considering the history of the company, this wouldn't be in contradiction with the English hallmarks on the ferrule.
The hallmarks: RJ in oval on the band obviously is the silversmith
mark (Reuben Jordan?). The London assay office date letter [g] holds for
1922.
Brand of Karl Erik Ottendahl (1942 - 2004 †).
Shortly before he passed away he sold the rights to use the "Karl Erik" name to Design Berlin and stamped his own freehands with "Ottendahl".

In 1934 Joseph St. John opened on Wall Street (New Haven CT) a shop selling tobacco and books. In 1946 St. John and his brother-in-law George Photakis established the Owl Shop on 416 Main St in Worcester, Mass.
Son John Photakis († 2003) entered the family business in the late 1970s and used to carve pipes to be sold in the shop.
