Jacobean

England
Brands with two letters logo

(Left side) ◊ Jacobean, De Luxe ◊ (Right side) ◊ 3 ◊
According to Wilczak & Colwell, op. cit. Jacobean could be a French label (La Bruyere) or an English one (Masta and/or Josiah Brown). Given the logo on its stem (JB) the English origin of this pipe seems more probable all the more since the model # "3" in the Masta chart tallies quite well with this piece.

Like Dunhill pipes, Parkers were also date coded but had a independant cycle. From 1950 through 1957 (at least) the date suffix run from an underlined and raised 0 to 7. This pipe dates from 1950.
The yellowish cloud around the logo comes from a reservation of this zone when buffing the stem. This color is due to the ebonite's oxydation.
